It’s difficult because it’s one of the players on our list, but it’s very difficult and I don’t expect good news about that,” Koeman said.

You can’t say completely because this is football.

Southampton manager Ronald Koeman watches at the friendly match at Anfield Stadium, Liverpool.

Southampton are hoping to clinch their first Barclays Premier League victory of the against West Ham on Saturday after losing at Liverpool and drawing with West Brom.

West Ham are an aggressive team and play in a physical way, different to our philosophy,” Koeman said.

“It’s always difficult to beat that type of team, and it will be the same on Saturday.

“Winning in the league is always important because it’s the best way to gain confidence.

“You can talk and you can believe, but points bring in a good feeling.

“We lost to Liverpool and it wasn’t a good game against West Brom.”

“We didn’t make a lot of changes in the team because we are starting the season and we need to improve ourselves and get confidence,” Koeman said.

Daniel Agger: Liverpool defender moves back to Danish club Brondby

Daniel Agger
                                          Daniel Agger

Liverpool defender Daniel Agger has moved back to his native Denmark, after accepting terms with Brondby. The 29-year-old has stumbled with injury problems and Rodgers have allowed him to leave the club for a secretive fee. “Liverpool have been such a big part of my life that leaving is extremely difficult,” Agger said. “The opportunity arose for me to return home and at this stage of my career it felt like the right decision for me.” Agger has previously challenged attempts to pull him away from Anfield, notably from Manchester City, but having fallen behind new signing Dejan Lovren in the defensive pecking order, he concluded this is time to move on..

The Dane seamed Liverpool from Brondby in 2006 in a £5.8m deal and made 232 participations for the Merseyside club. He scored 14 goals and won the 2012 League Cup with the Reds. Brendan Rodgers said: “This is a decision Daniel has reached after much soul searching and deliberation. “On behalf of everyone at Liverpool, I thank Daniel for his service to the club and hope he finishes his career with some happy times in Denmark.” Agger becomes the third defender to depart the club this summer following the departures of Martin Kelly and Jack Robinson. Liverpool have also sold striker Luis Suarez and goalkeeper Pepe Reina reports BBC sport .

Liverpool team line up v Tottenham: Exciting attacking selection for the Reds?

Liverpool’s 3-1 defeat versus citizens might have left Brendan Rodgers feeling a little pain on Monday night but the signing of Mario Balotelli has the red half of Merseyside bristling with excitement.
His performances on and off the pitch during his time with the reigning champions led to a combination of praise and criticism virtually unmatched in English football, and now he’s back in the Premier League to form what could be a deadly partnership with Daniel Sturridge.

A £16million fee for the forward is a tough steal, but as the Reds head to White Hart Lane to face Tottenham – who they thrashed 5-0 and 4-0 last season – it’s a challenge as to how he’ll fit into Rodgers’ side.

So how would Liverpool line up on Sunday?

Balotelli is back, Coutinho gets cut
Reds boss Rodgers willing to get Balotelli into action as soon as possible to help him gain match fitness and we could see the Northern Irishman swap his 4-3-3 system for a diamond formation as he looks to get his men attacking against Tottenham.

Partnering the Italian with Sturridge will strike fear into any defence and with Spurs’ central duo, Jan Vertonghen and Younes Kaboul, looking slightly off the pace inspite of a good start to the campaign, the pair could find themselves with netting opportunities abundant.

In Addition to the double act it’s likely Raheem Sterling will keep his place as Rodgers looks to trouble the Tottenham backline with pace accompanying Mario.

Allen key?
Joe Allen joined Steven Gerrard and Jordan Henderson in a midfield three against Man City and his solid performance is a tough package, despite summer dealing Emre Can pushing for a start.

The Welshman will need to be calm on the ball and precise in the pass as Tottenham attempt to force mistakes.

Man of the moment
An injury to Glen Johnson means loan star Javier Manquillo will get his second start of the season at right-back as Jon Flanagan is yet to return to full fitness. He will flank Martin Skrtel and Dejan Lovren along with fellow Spaniard Alberto Moreno reports autosport .

Song set for London return? West Ham lead race for Barcelona midfielder

Alex Song mightbe on his way back to London, according to Spanish football expert Graham Hunter.Song has been freed from Barcelona this summer and the former Arsenal midfielder is linked with a move to Liverpool.

Hunter says a switch to Anfield cannot be ruled out, but he believes West Ham are currently in first position to finish a deal for the midfielder.

West Ham are in this and are maybe ahead of the pack,” Hunter said, speaking on the Alan Brazil Sports Breakfast.“I don’t think Barcelona are asking a very big price for him at all. They want him off the books.“He will be out of Barcelona by the team the window closes, possibly to West Ham, maybe Liverpool. Let’s see.” reports talksport

Alvaro Dominguez rejects Liverpool interest

Borussia Monchengladbach defender Alvaro Dominguez has concluded he got an offer from Liverpool for talks of the possibility of a transfer to the Premier League.
In an interview with German publication Express.the 25-year-old defender revealed that he had multiple offers to leave Borussia-Park this summer, but has opted to stay and continue his development in the Bundesliga under the tutelage of manager Lucien Favre.
Dominguez quotes:
Yes, that’s right. Galatasaray and Liverpool have contacted me,” Dominguez explained. “But I stay with Borussia.
I’m happy if I can play here and am needed. I have spoken to the club, they told me that I’m an important player. Then that I claim to be on the pitch, but it is clear.reports the givemesport.

Liverpool: 3 Forwards Who Can Give Tough Fight versus top Clubs

1. Marco Reus: Right now he is most suitable gamble for pools. He can play behind the striker, on the wings and as a striker. He has netting ability, aids in assists, takes on and go past the defenders and is great skill in dead-ball kicks. Reus has concluded his stay at Borussisa Dortmund, but Rodgers’ influencing and convincing wit could bring him on.

2. Radamel Falcao, Monaco are keen to loan him out on a season-long deal for £12million. In.In the topmost of his career, he could perform up to Liverpool’s needs, with his ability to pass through defenders. He has good pin pointing abilities, too, he took 50 footage in the Ligue 1 last season, of which 30 were on target.

2. Edinson Cavani seems to be unpleasant to perform second-play to Zlatan Ibrahimovic, throughout last season. Cavani has articulated a eagerness to leave if he receives a good offer, and Liverpool can make him a deal what he expects. He has good all-round play and could supplement Sturridge.

Liverpool FC – Merits and Demerits Of The Team

Liverpool is Re Appearing in the UEFA Champions League after 4  years.

To see the pros:

Liverpool may have claimed second the last time round about, but they are aware that they let it miss in the final stage. They must be looking to make restitution.

Now that Liverpool is back in the Champions League, players linked with moves to Liverpool are advancing to pool. Liverpool  had history and currently that they are participating in Europe, which brings decoy to the team.

Liverpool have already spent a huge sum in the transfer window as they look to get players. The gains generated by the TV contracts have aided them.

To see the cons:

Lot Of players have been added to team, but will these players perform? Rodgers must clinch the team recipe and spin strategies correctly; with matching amounts of youth and senior, or else the team will be defeated.

The pessimistic followers are scaring ‘second-season pattern’, where the team pecks down order. The transfer of their fierce striker, Luis Suarez; oughting too many new players quickly, coming second last season which might initiate  feelings mood of unbelief  inside the squad more mold this time roundabout, which may be difficult.

Liverpool too honest and too fair, tells Joe Allen after City crticism

Stevan Jovetic party after netting the second goal for Manchester City in their 3-1 defeat of Liverpool
Joe Allen wants Liverpool need to be more cautious after describing Brendan Rodgers’ team as “too honest and too fair” in their defeat at Manchester City.
While the Liverpool manager accounting Monday’s 3-1 reverse on defensive lapses, and his side lacked City’s experimental touch in front of goal, Allen considers the champions gain points too simply at the Etihad Stadium. By difference, City largely delimited Liverpool’s fierce attack during their ultimately easy win and were not oppose to uncertain defense with a foul.
“We can be too honest and too fair at times,” the midfielder said. “It can be seen as a good thing but at this level you need to be clever at times. At times we can maybe stop things at source and save ourselves a lot of trouble.
“It’s small margins at this level. It’s not just negatives to take away from the game but unfortunately we conceded three goals. They punished lapses in concentration,” he said. “Last season we had a great season but when we analysed it we conceded goals too easily at times. It’s something we’re looking to rectify.
“We are certainly on the right path. It’s tough against a team like Man City who have such quality in attack but throughout the season we will see a big improvement in that area. City is a tough place for anyone to go to. We’ll analyse certain things, look to improve and look forward to going to White Hart Lane for another big game.
Allen hopes the impulse of Balotelli, a £16m signing from Milan, will prove a valuable addittion. “I’m excited to work with him. He’s a player with massive quality. He has that spontaneous edge and he’s going to give us a massive threat. He is another great addition.” reported Guardian

Liverpool’s Agger: My future is still uncertain

Daniel Agger is growing irritated by the lack of clarity in his Liverpool future, and the Reds need to be cautious in how they tackle his situation in the final week of transfer window.

As reported by Metro’s Richard Buxton, the Danish centre-back couldn’t hide his frustrations in an interview with Jyllands-Posten:

“The future is complicated. There are a few things that has to be sorted and we have to take it from there. I actually don’t know what will happen. It is a bit up to Liverpool”.

I have had niggling injuries at the wrong times and I have to say that it is difficult to change the team when it is winning. I am not frustrated by that. I am frustrated the way it happened and the way it was handled.

The 29-year-old has seen a sharp turn down in playing time over the last season, and after the arrival of Dejan Lovren, his place in the pecking order seems to have dropped even further.

Lovren partnered Martin Skrtel in the team’s first two Premier League fixtures, with French international Mamadou Sakho too an option to play ahead of Agger. Injuries Brendan Rodgers is likely to prefer the trio of Lovren, Skrtel and Sakho before fielding the Danish international, even when he’s healthy hich could bereally irritating. Skrtel and Lovren were solid, if unspectacular, during the Reds’ first two Premier League matches of 2014-15. The 3-1 loss against Manchester City was ugly, but all three goals came from the left wing. The first was a flaw from new signing Alberto Moreno. The Citizens’ third goal could have been avoided had Lovren and Skrtel communicated better.

As a old hand of eight years with Liverpool, Agger’s experience at the highest level and with the club is his greatest asset. He can be a valuable backup in case of injuries, and his stay will help the younger players and new arrivals in training.

The question is whether he would be pleased with such a role on the team. If he isn’t, it makes sense to entertain offers from other clubs. But this late in the transfer window and with most of the top clubs having already invested in the position, the offers might be a lot lower than Rodgers would like.

Finding a suitable replacement for the experienced Agger could prove nearly impossible reported by Bleacher Report.

Liverpool suffer prominent disintegration

It was a recurrence to the dark days of a few years ago as Manchester City comforted past a proficient Liverpool side that still can’t iron the defensive flaws out of their game, whoever plays at the back.

Manuel Pellegrini talked about City not being up to maximum flaw yet with numerous players even now feeling a little summer exhaustion.

In the end it was the Liverpool boss who needed the aid of rationalisation more as Pellegrini’s side, without ever reaching the heights everyone knows they are capable of on home soil, eased to a 3-1 win.
Actually the home side either played well within themselves, playing a deterrent approach dependent upon Liverpool mistakes, or they had simply been out-thought.
